Let's Get This Party Started!!

So, last week was FANTASTIC! We were able to gain even more and better traction on our project. Good Job Everyone! We still need to try to be here on time, remember that, if you want to be successful, sacrifices must be made. So, everyone needs to start taking notes: NO EXCEPTIONS! This is the last week that the meeting will involve alternative activities (That means playing games on your phone, on the TV, or doing /talking about other things during the meeting) We need to gain the same traction that we did last week, EVERY WEEK.

I have modified our expected Kickstarter Date for the better. Remember, all we need for that is the rules, a well-designed mock-up, and some videos explaining/showing the game and lore.

Our artists will be going into full-time production after December and we should have almost everything done on that avenue by the estimated date. For now, work on those Political Cards and Map Tiles. I will have the fake Resource Cards ready and the 8 Construct tiles by next Wednesday (the 9th) Look for further blogs detailing my own work on this end.

That being said, I have below a brief reminder of what we need for next week's run of the basics.

EXPLORATION TILES

We need a total of *80. I will be doing the Construct ones, so we only need exploration tiles for the following biomes (72 tiles total)

1. Desert

2. Deep Desert

3. Savannah

4. Scrubland

5. Mesas

6. Mountains

7. Lowlands

8. Salt Marshes?

(I can't remember the last one... :O

Scattered throughout your exploration tiles should be villages, cities (1 per every 12 tiles; total of 7) monsters (See below) and anythng else mentioned in the technical manual (downloadable from the Development Page) under Tiles.

Monsters

1. Crocklava

2. Spiny Crab Beetles

3. Zethis

4. Weepers

5. Hunters

6. Tarslavs

6. Tarslavs

POLITICAL CARDS

Remember to read your manual, and keep in mind that each person is only coming up with 1 technology! The rest are sorted like Tom had it. these need to be based in the ideas portrayed in the manual, but there is certainly allowance for bends and breaks in those parameters. Making assinine political cards will not serve to benefit the group nor the playtest; this is not to show how cool or unique your cards can be (Save that for later:) but to see if the theories are good and sound.

Remember to just use colors on their backs! or WRITE THE TYPE. We can color-code at the next meeting using sharpies or paint or something. Everybody should use blank-backed index cards.

Please be sure to have your fair share done next week, it is of the utmost importance.

Katie and I will be putting together the role cards based on what we have so far; so just bring yourself, the cards and tiles, and we'll go to town!!

I don't want to test Faction cards yet. Start with the basics first!!
